Context: In the Gynana marga of Hinduism, a human is attempting to dispel illusion (maya) and attempts realization of the true self. It is believed that when a person truly reaches this state, they will recognize that they are part of God.
Friend: I am god
YS: Would you say that you created the universe
Friend: (After a bit if hesitation) why not, yes I created it.
YS: That’s great. Since you created the universe you should be able to answer any question I have about your creation. Can I ask you a few questions …?
Friend: I am not there yet in my pursuit, when I am there I should be able to answer the questions.
YS: So do you know when you will become god?
Friend: I don’t know.
